To be eligible under category A, the student should rank among the top 10 at the STEM, SOF or Robotics Olympiads. Students who have secured the first, second or third prizes at the National Children’s Science Congress can also qualify here. Students in this category can avail of a 19% waiver on their tuition fees.

Category B:

Students who are amongst the top 20 rank-holders at the SOF, STEM or Robotics Olympiads are eligible in this category.

Alternatively, they should be first, second or third prize winners at the National Children’s Science Congress’s annual competition.

This category also includes students who have been a part of one of the ranking teams at the ISRO Space Quiz or NSS National Space Settlement.

Category C:

This category entails students who are among the top 30 rank-holders at the SOF, STEM or Robotics Olympiads.

Alternatively, they should have secured a rank among the top 10 at a national or international competition organised by an IT giant such as Google, Adobe, Microsoft etc.

Students having stood among the top 10 rankers at the international, national and state-level Robot Olympiads are also eligible in this category.

Lastly, category C also includes students who have been a part of one of the two ranking teams at the ISRO Space Quiz or NSS National Space Settlement.

Category D:

This category includes students who are among the top 40 rankers at the STEM, SOF or Robotics Olympiads.

Students who have featured among the top 20 rank-holders at national or international events held by software veterans like Microsoft are also eligible in this category.

Top 20 rankers at national, international and state-level Olympiads are also eligible under this category.

Alternatively, the student should have been a part of one of the three ranking teams at the ISRO Space Quiz or National Space Settlement.

Students who have received innovation awards at the national or international levels, and those with national or state-level achievements at the MOE or CBSE science exhibitions or National Talent Search Examination, are also included in category D.

Scholarship Process Involves

Applying for the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship involves an efficient and straightforward process:

Fill Out the Application Form: The first step to applying for this scholarship is to fill out the online application form available on the website. This form also requires one to submit essential documents, including:

Academic records of the past two years

Published theses or documents confirming the applicant’s eligibility

Address and identity proof documents

Receive a Notification: The school notifies successful applicants via email within ten working days.

Scholarship Assessment: Students then appear for a scholarship assessment that evaluates their eligibility for the programme. Students residing outside of Singapore may conveniently take this assessment online from their homes.
